چکیده

We obtained spectra of ASASSN-V J205543.90+240033.5 (J2055), a system that shows photometric variations similar to the white dwarf (WD) pulsar AR Scorpii (Kato et al. arXiv:2109.03979). Our display continuum rising steeply toward blue as well an array emission lines. Resolved Balmer and Paschen lines are seen with H$\alpha$ H$\beta$ having central absorption features. The strongest unresolved CII, CIII, NIII doubly ionized helium. YY Hya (Kimeswenger arXiv:2110.03935), suggest J2055 is post-common envelope binary consisting hot compact star irradiating face secondary unknown spectral type. Velocity detected from confirm nature J2055. origin 10 minute variation remains uncertain.

Gcrt J1745-3009 as a Transient White Dwarf Pulsar

A transient radio source in the direction of the Galactic Center, GCRT J1745-3009, exhibited 5 peculiar consecutive outbursts at 0.33 GHz with a period of 77.13 minutes and a duration of ∼ 10 minutes for each outburst. It has been claimed to be the prototype of a hitherto unknown class of transient radio sources. We interpret it as a transient white dwarf pulsar with a period of 77.13 minutes. ...

The evolutionary status of the white dwarf companion of the binary pulsar PSR J1713+0747

Recently Splaver and coworkers have measured the masses of the white dwarf and the neutron star components of the PSR J1713+0747 binary system pair by means of the general relativistic effect known as Shapiro Delay with very high accuracy. Employing this data we attempt to find the original configuration that evolved to the observed system. For this purpose we perform a set of binary evolution ...

The masses of the millisecond pulsar J1012+5307 and its white-dwarf companion

We report on spectroscopy of the white-dwarf companion of the millisecond radio pulsar PSR J1012+5307. We find strong Balmer absorption lines, as would be expected for a cool DA white dwarf. The profiles are much narrower than usual, however, and lines are seen up to H12, indicating that the companion has a low gravity and hence a low mass. This is consistent with the expectation—based on evolu...

Polarimetric evidence of a white dwarf pulsar in the binary system ar Scorpii

The variable star AR Scorpii (AR Sco) was recently discovered to pulse in brightness every 1.97 min from ultraviolet wavelengths into the radio regime. The system is composed of a cool, low-mass star in a tight, 3.55-hour orbit with a more massive white dwarf. Here we report new optical observations of AR Sco that show strong linear polarization (up to 40%) that varies strongly and periodically...

The Probability Distribution of Binary Pulsar Coalescence Rate Estimates. Ii. Neutron Star–white Dwarf Binaries

We consider the statistics of pulsar binaries with white dwarf companions (NS−WD). Using the statistical analysis method developed by Kim et al. (2003) we calculate the Galactic coalescence rate of NS−WD binaries due to gravitational-wave emission. We find that the most likely values for the total Galactic coalescence rate (Rtot) of NS−WD binaries lie in the range 0.2–10 Myr depending on differ...
